Whilst our taps our so often home to the things a bit less seen, the lineup would never feel complete without those jewels that made Australian Wine what it is today, and scarcely is a Victorian wine more aptly placed in the nation’s vinous trophy cabinet than Yarra Valley Pinot.

Yering Farm have spent four & half decades perfecting exactly what Pinot grown in that valley means, four & half decades listening to every lesson, four & half decades anticipating every need of the vines that are bound to that soil, four & a half decades rounding every corner and honing every edge. And on their 43^rd vintage, that is precisely what you see, a wine that is thoughtful, a wine that is perfected. Its cranberric smack louge-ing along your jowls like it had mapped the route priorly, its plushily pillowed pallet aslumber upon the tongue as if your mouth was posturepedically bespoke to its resting needs, it speaks of its barrel as if regaling stories of a mutual friend with whom it has been far-too-long, perfectly familiar yet not overtly present. It is the Pinot from just outside of town that generations have known and are forever excited to see.
