Emma's thoughts: 

I'd like to rename this wine 'Love Potion no. 33' because my god, there is so much cedarwood and sandalwood (cheers whole bunch) on both the nose and palate you'd almost think it was made in collaboration with Le Labo. The initial perfumey flavours soften into a sweet snakebite raspberry cola and in the end you're left with juicy fruit (god I love carbonic maceration) and lingering aromas of black pepper reminding you, just incase you forgot that you are in fact drinking Syrah. Alex is a phenomenal winemaker and Love Potion is a perfect example of his craft; clean and classic whilst boundary pushing in the gentlest of ways. It's lighter than a typical Syrah but you're still greeted with a nice touch of grip. I'll say this is the perfect light chilled red when you're seeking something more complex than a 'chilled red'.

When you sign up for your subscription, you pay a one-off $8 deposit per bottle. This deposit is fully refundable if you want to cancel your subscription. Just send us an email to love@glou.com.au and we refund you upon collection of your Glou bottles.

Shipping

We deliver and collect old bottles on Thursdays from 3pm onwards. We unfortunately don’t ship. Instead we ride our e-cargo bike or drive in our Gloumobile (like the Batmobile), therefore we cannot deliver further than 10km from Glou (Collingwood).

Our closed-loop system

We work directly with winemakers to take wine from the barrel straight to you in bottles that can be refilled. This cuts out single use vessels and almost halves the weight in transport, meaning a drastically reduced carbon footprint. Plus, you can buy the wine for 30% cheaper!
